About the Campaign

Missy was just rescued from the shelter in March of this year. Glenn is disabled and lives alone, and his friend got him Missy from the shelter to be a companion.

Then in May, Missy started drooling, all the time. Glenn took her to the emergency vet who then referred him to a regular vet clinic. In the end Glenn, whose income is only $780 a month from disability, spent over $500 on Missy. She has stomatitis, a condition where the gums become inflamed and painful. It gets so bad the cat can barely eat, and cannot clean itself.

Glenn has to get Missy to a specialist, which is more than 80 miles from where he lives (and he does not drive). He has an estimate from his vet that it will be about $3000, but has not gotten an official estimate from the specialist yet.

This fundraiser is to help make Missy comfortable for the next few months while Glenn works on getting her into the specialist. We are hoping to raise money for:

  • Blood tests
  • Pain medications
  • Antibiotics
  • Cleaning

We apologize for the poor photos, but Glenn does not have a good camera/phone and due to his disability has trouble getting Missy in a good position for a photo. All donations are for Missy, and will go only to her care.
