Life-Saving Surgery to Remove an Intestinal Tumor
Mischief, a 9-year-old tuxedo cat, has been diagnosed with a large tumor in her intestines—measuring 4 by 6 cm and sitting dangerously close to her colon. Without surgery, Mischief will likely only have a few months left. But her doctors believe the tumor may be operable, and removing it could save her life.
Alexandra, Mischief’s devoted owner, has already raised $1,400 through a GoFundMe and scraped together another $1,000 of her own. But the veterinary hospital gave her an estimate of $7,000–$10,000 for the surgery. As a full-time graduate student working as a bartender to make ends meet, there’s no way she can cover the remaining cost alone.
Despite all of this, Alexandra has always cared for animals that found their way into her life. She rescued Mischief on a whim after meeting her at a PetSmart adoption event—instantly knowing she belonged with her. Over the years, Mischief has been her constant companion, always ready to snuggle, and even planned to be part of Alexandra’s wedding with her fiancé Nick, who also adores her.
Mischief still has so much love and life left to give, but time is running out. Your donation will go directly toward her surgery and care, giving her the chance to beat this tumor. Vet documentation below, click to enlarge:
