About the Campaign
A little will help her a lot!
What’s going on with Mimi? Well about a month ago her breath got really bad, and then mom noticed her mouth also appeared swollen. So mom took her to the vet, and sure enough, as you can see in the pictures below, she has rotted teeth and infected gums.
Mimi is now almost 13 years-old, and this happens, especially in smaller dogs. The treatment does require dental surgery, but it isn’t that expensive, a little bit will really help change Mimi’s life for the better! She is in pain now, not eating and the infection is dangerous and can spread if not dealt with.
Mom is disabled. She has a back issues and arthritis, which often confine her to a wheelchair, and also diabetes. The family is on SSDI (disability), but in California that does not go very far. Put simply, they really do not have the money for Mimi’s needed surgery, the money just isn’t there. In fact, we apologize for the lower quality of the photos, we did our best to edit them, but mom’s phone is older and doesn’t take good pictures.
The family has had Mimi since she was a puppy. A neighbor rescued an entire litter of Chihuahua puppies, and they helped by talking one! Mimi has been a happy and healthy dog for 13 years, and now she just needs this simple and fairly inexpensive dental work to get out of pain, can you help? Thank you so much! Remember, all donations made on this page are only for Mimi and paid only to the vet! WOOOF!
