About the Campaign
Little sweetie needs surgery!
Mimi has an inguinal hernia, which is dangerous and needs to be dealt with very soon. You can read about this type of hernia here. It is basically a birth defect, and know to happen with dogs like Mimi.
The inguinal hernia is painful, and can make the dog nauseous, and depressed. It will not heal on it’s own, and surgery is necessary before the internal area breaks, which can lead to death!
Joecie got Mimi has a puppy about two years ago, and she noticed this little bump on her belly a few months ago. Joecie didn’t know what it was, but it got bigger, and then Mimi started licking it and acting less energetic and less happy. So Mimi got the vet, and the doctor quickly determined it was this type of hernia.
Joecie was diagnosed with cancer two years ago and is still going through treatments. When she found out she had cancer, she decided to get a dog, because she needed a companion and friend to help her through it. That’s when she got Mimi!
But cancer treatment takes a lot of money and with the effects, Joecie has not been working, getting by on disability. Her mother also helps out, but she is a school bus driver, and school is not in session now due to COVID, so money has just been very tight. Joecie did manage to pay for Mimi’s exam, but she does not have the money for the surgery, nor the credit to get Care Credit or another type loan. The good news is that Mimi’s surgery is not that expensive! Every donation will really help!!
Remember, all donations are only paid to the vet when the surgery is performed! Can you help Mimi today with a donation?
