About the Campaign

Not even 8lbs,

Milo was attacked by a Rottweiler

July 21st, Lidia opens the door to her place, and little Milo runs out to greet her on her porch. Out of nowhere, the neighbor’s Rottweiler, who had jumped out of it’s yard, ran up, grabbed Milo and started thrashing him, wildly. Lidia charged at the Rottweiler, her partner ran out of the house to help. The Rottweiler dropped Milo, and they grabbed him up, screaming and bloody and rushed to the vet.

Milo was severely injured. They spent a couple thousand dollars right away just to get him stable. Then Milo had to go to a specialist for extensive surgery. You can see in the x-rays below his injuries and then below that the pins and plates the doctors had to put in him.

Milo may have spinal damage (you can kind of see in the circled area above). He is having trouble standing. Surgery was on July 26th, and he will have a long recovery, so the hope is he will be able to walk, but right now it is unsure.

Milo was a very happy and fun little dog. This has been a horrible trauma for him and Lidia. Yes, the neighbor with the Rottweiler should be responsible, but he is refusing to take any responsibility and will not talk with Lidia. They are investigating legal options. But for now, they had to charge over $15000.00 on credit to pay for Milo’s care. They have set up a GoFundMe for help with these bills, they can’t afford them. If you would like to help them please visit THIS LINK to donate to Milo’s surgery.

This fundraiser is for follow up care

At Free Animal Doctor we can only run fundraisers for procedures that have not yet been done. Since Milo had his surgery and it was paid for on credit, we refer you to their GoFundMe. However, we are helping raise money for Milo’s follow up care. In a few weeks he needs a follow up with the specialist and more x-rays, and he will then need another a month after that. That is looking to be about $1200, if there are no complications. We may adjust this fundraiser as the doctor updates on his ongoing care.

All donations here are only for Milo, and will only be paid to the veterinarian, never the owner. All of your donation goes to Milo. He’s been through so much, his family is devastated emotionally and financially. Let’s at least help insure his follow up care is guaranteed and funded! Thank you.

So glad you were able to get him to the vet in time. Milo is lucky to have you and I hope he’s up and running around again soon! Sorry this isn’t much but hope it helps.
