Help Mikey Smile Again:
Urgent Dental Surgery Needed
Mikey, a nine-year-old rescue with a big heart, found a home with Francella in December two years ago. Since then, Mikey has become an inseparable part of Francella’s life, providing warmth and companionship. However, recently, Mikey’s dental health has started causing him significant pain and challenges. His gums are swollen and delicate, leading to frequent bleeding that makes even eating soft foods difficult.
When Francella first took Mikey to the vet, they discovered he had anemia, likely due to his inflamed gums and ongoing discomfort. A special injection helped, but the underlying issue—dental disease requiring urgent extractions—remains. Mikey’s mouth has worsened, and he struggles with his food, often leaving him frustrated and uncomfortable. While he’s on a wet food diet, even softer foods are challenging due to the pain and bleeding.
Francella has always been devoted to Mikey’s care, even covering a recent vet visit to remove an extra toenail that was bothering him. Yet, with multiple pets and other responsibilities, she simply cannot afford the $2,000 to $3,000 needed for Mikey’s critical dental surgery on her own. Despite these challenges, she’s committed to giving Mikey a loving home for as long as he needs, but she needs your help to ensure he lives a healthy, pain-free life.
With surgery, Mikey’s prognosis is very positive, and he’ll be able to eat comfortably again. Every donation goes directly to his treatment and will make a meaningful difference in restoring his health and happiness.
