About the Campaign
Just one year-old.
Dislocated hip requires surgery.
Little guy has had a second opinion and a third consultation with a specialist, and even though he is just one year-old, he needs FHO surgery, surgery on his hip. He hip and leg bone keep dislocating and it is very painful, but he also cannot walk. The muscle in the leg is now starting to decay, as can be seen in the photo below, so the surgery is becoming urgent.
Mickey was saved from a litter at just 3 weeks of age, his mother was not feeding the puppies. Graciela took Mickey in and bottle fed him, and the two (and her whole family) are very connected to him.
Graciela does reception at a vet office, and they normally do not do these surgeries (as they require a specialist), but this Summer they have a specialist trained in FHO substituting for the usual doctor who is on extended vacation. So, good news, this doctor and the clinic have agreed to do the surgery at a discount. But still, it is a lot of money for a receptionist with two children. All donations are only paid to the vet for this surgery for Mickey, and never paid to the owner. Let’s get this young little guy fixed up! Thanks!
