About the Campaign
Mia and her owner, David, are in need of help. Mia was recently diagnosed with a melanoma on the outside of her mammary gland, which has been causing her to bleed. The treatment plan is to remove the melanoma and perform a biopsy, with an estimated cost of $1,700.
Mia was rescued in 2020 and is estimated to be 4-5 years old. The story of her rescue is a heartwarming one. David was taking a break from work one day and came across a man living in his van with three dogs. On of them, Mia, had been attacked by other dogs, so David took her in and nursed her back to health. Since then, Mia has been a beloved member of David’s family.
Unfortunately, David lost his job due to the COVID-19 pandemic and has not been able to find work since. Kacey Montoya, if KTLA Channel 5, has generously paid for Mia’s first visit to Banfield Vet, to get a diagnosis and treatment plan.
Mia now needs funding for her surgery. All donations are only for Mia, and paid only to the veterinarian, the owner receives no money. If you would like to help Mia, please make a donation below.
