Hurt his knee playing in the snow!
Now Merlin is depressed 🙁
This sweet, young, cocker spaniel lives in North Dakota, and he was playing in the snow a few days before Christmas when he yelped, and started limping in pain.
At first his owner, Suzanne, thought it was just a sprain since he is only 5 years-old, and just let him rest. But Merlin did not get better, and after Christmas she got him to the vet. There the vet determined that he as a torn CCL, Cranial Cruciate Ligament, which you can read about HERE.
Suzanne got Merlin as a puppy after her 13 year-old cocker spaniel passed away from old age. She lives alone, and Merlin is her companion and emotional support animal. She has paid $300.00 so far for his exam, x-rays and pain medications. In addition, Suzanne paid a deposit of $650.00 to get Merlin scheduled as soon as possible for surgery, which is February 24th.
Suzanne works from home processing paper-work for health insurance companies, and does not have enough money to pay for the entire surgery.
Poor Merlin is now laying around the house. When he does walk to go potty or eat, he limps. Even with the pain medication he is clearly not feeling well, and he used to be an active dog. The vet charge is low, and Suzanne has already paid a deposit of $650.00, so Merlin does not need to much more money to get his surgery done!! Let’s help this sweet boy get better and back to his usual happy self!!!

I have had my share of vet bills after my dear Molly was diagnosed with Mass Cell Tumor. She passed in august, so I would like to help in memory of Molly to help your baby.
