little homeless dog!

Meatball was in a bad situation. The home he was in had a large dog, and that dog had bitten him. They weren’t caring for Meatball anyway, an they wanted him gone. Alexie’s brother took him, because he felt bad for Meatball, but he couldn’t keep him at his place so he ended up with Alexie.

Alexie is living in subsidized housing himself having gone through a government program after being homeless many years. Fortunately this housing allows residents to have a dog, and we have also talked with the case manager for Alexie and verified the information.

When Meatball first arrived at Alexie’s he was way over-weight. A walk around the block would have Meatball stopping halfway to pant and rest. Alexie put him on a diet, with good food, and started regular exercise. Now, about 4 months later, Meatball loves to go out an run! Yep, he will run and they go for mile long walks!

What does Meatball need? Everything. The basics, he needs to be neutered and get all his vaccines and stuff. But he also has a flea problem that is not getting a lot better with baths, he needs medication for fleas. He might have an eye infection, and he has a weird red mark like tumor think on his paw, that probably isn’t any big deal, but should get checked out.

Alexie and Meatball do not have a car, or money for a long Uber ride, so they need to see a local veterinarian to get Meatball all checked out and the basics of what every dog should have. All donations are only for Meatball and paid only to the vet. Let’s get this little guy the care he needs!
