About the Campaign

Painful, worsening skin irritation.

Marley is living with Dominique’s mother, and his skin now looks bad enough that the family is worried it may be a heavy flea infestation or another underlying issue. He needs to be seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible so they can identify what’s causing the irritation and start the right treatment.

Dominique only recently learned how severe it has gotten. A photo her mom sent made it clear this isn’t just “a little itching.” Marley’s skin appears inflamed and uncomfortable, and without proper care, problems like this can spiral quickly into infection, hair loss, and constant misery.

Our goal is to get Marley into the clinic for an exam, then we will have a clear, documented evaluation of what is wrong and how to help him. Even if fleas are the main issue, Marley will likely need reliable flea prevention. And if it’s more than fleas, the vet may recommend a skin scraping, allergy support, or a blood test to rule out other causes and guide treatment.

Marley came from Dominique’s grandmother’s dog, and they took in two littermates—Marley and Coco—so they’d have a buddy and grow up together. Marley was originally Dominique’s daughter dog, but when their housing situation changed and they moved into an apartment, Marley stayed with Dominique’s mother.

Dominique has just had a baby and recently returned to work part-time after maternity leave. With other financial burdens piling up, they need help covering the cost of Marley’s first vet visit and the basics that should follow immediately. We’re fundraising $300 to cover Marley’s exam (estimated at $62) plus flea medication and any recommended diagnostics like a skin scraping or bloodwork. All donations are paid only to the veterinarian.
