About the Campaign
Marisa was born in Edwards apartment complex 14 years ago. They have been together ever since. She has been a healthy cat, until a few weeks ago.
Edward was doing his normal routine one morning, woke up at 6am, fed the cats, took them on a walk and was about to head out the door to go to an appointment. This is when he noticed Marisa was acting different, she was hiding all morning under the bed. Marisa came out and her head was tilted to the left and she wasn’t looking too good. Edward instead took Marisa to the vet.
The first vet said it was an inner ear infection causing Marisa’s balance to be off and head to tilt. The vet gave her an injection of anti-inflammatory medicine to help reduce the swelling in her ear. Well that didn’t work, Marisa went to a neurologist thinking there might be an infection or tumor in her head. Everything came back normal except her heart beat. This is when Edward found out Marisa had a stroke. Her left eye still isn’t responsive to touch and her balance is a little off but she seems to be doing better.
The neurologist is now asking to have Marisa examined by a cardiologist. The cardiologist wants to do an echocardiogram to examine Marisa’s heart.
Estimate for Marisa:
Help Marisa see a cardiologist to prevent any more strokes from occurring.
All donations are tax deductible. Free Animal Doctor pays 100% of the money raised to Marisa's vet.
