About the Campaign
An infected growth,
and bad teeth.
Little Madea is a little mess. And her story is a little messy too!
She was taken out of a hoarding situation in rural Oregon. The details aren’t really known, supposedly there were a lot of cats, hedgehogs and other small animals, and a handful of dogs. A rescue helped take in these animals, and the dogs were given to a lady to foster. This lady then posted online looking to get one of the younger dogs adopted. From here the rescue Soul 2 Soul got involved, contacting the lady and discovering that she had other dogs and this story.
Madea getting transported to a real rescue:
Now the details aren’t clear because the lady was not clear, and the did not want to give all the information and specifics. But through talking with her and then sending someone to meet her, they found out about Madea. The woman had had her for about a month or two, and she had never taken her to the vet. Madea had a swollen, puss filled growth on her leg, which the woman said had burst and then regrown. She also had bad teeth.
Fortunately they were able to convince her to give Madea to them, and now she is with Soul 2 Soul, who has gotten Madea to the vet, got her some temporary treatment, and diagnosed for treatment. Her surgery was scheduled for April, but recently the growth has gotten worse and is clearly painful, so they managed to switch Madea with a less urgent case, and move her surgery up to the end of this week. It’s urgent, and and unfunded!
All donations are for Madea specifically and paid to Parkway Animal Hospital directly for her surgery. The estimate is below, click to enlarge:
