About the Campaign
Painful Foot Growth
Maddie, a 9-year-old Pointer mix, is struggling with a painful open growth on her right foot that just keeps getting larger.
What first looked like a small puncture wound was removed by her vet last year, but now the growth has returned and is spreading quickly. The vet fears it could be cancer. Maddie can no longer ignore the pain, and she urgently needs to see a specialist for treatment before it worsens.
Her owner, Francyne, has done everything she can. In the past, Maddie has endured multiple surgeries for polyps, a fatty tumor, and colon issues. Each time, Francyne has managed to get her the care she needed, but now she has hit a wall financially.
Working only part-time as a tutor in a small town, and living on Social Security, she simply cannot cover another costly surgery on her own. Care Credit isn’t an option, and her own online fundraising attempts brought in nothing.
Maddie’s story began back in 2016, when Francyne adopted her to be a companion for her beagle, Eli, after their senior pointer, Madison, passed away at 15. Eli passed not long after, and Maddie has been the heart of the home ever since. Though she went blind a few years ago from corneal disease, Maddie has remained a happy and content dog, adjusting to life with remarkable resilience.
With help, she can get the specialist care she desperately needs. Your donation will go directly toward her treatment, paid only to the vet not the owner. Estimate below, click to enlarge:
