About the Campaign

Family Dog Macc, hit by a car

Poor guy got spooked by fireworks, and ran away!

On July 5th Macc got scared by some sudden load fireworks and ran off from his front yard. His family has had him since he was a puppy (he is three now) and he never runs away!

Macc was found the next day hiding, injured, under a car. Good Samaritan and dog rescuer Janett Randle found out and came to help get the injured and scared Macc out from under the car and to a vet.

Because it was the weekend he ended up at an emergency vet, Inland Valley in Upland, CA. It has been costly and the family cannot afford his care.

A Crushed Wrist

Macc’s wrist is crushed, and probably not repairable. The recommendation is to amputate. Its OK!! Three legged dogs can live great, normal lives! And his family wants him back, three legs or four!!

The Tough News

Unfortunately Macc has had to spend a week at the ER vet, and the family is struggling to get funds together for both is care and his surgery. It’s a single mom, with two kids. Grandma has two jobs, but they don’t pay much. The family needs help for Macc!

All donations are only paid to the vet for Macc’s care. No money will be paid to the family or any other individual. Donate in confidence that you are helping Macc directly.

Please get a second opinion from a good orthopedic surgeon before proceeding with amputation plans. YES, 3 legged dogs CAN have a good life but bully breeds are heavy on their front legs. Losing a front leg is a LOT harder than losing a back for a bully breed. Please do look into that second opinion.

Please get second opinion regarding amputation. Losing back leg is easier than a front leg for a young dog.
