About the Campaign

Update 11/27: Mac needs surgery to remove the toe and biopsy. Happening this week. He had raised $800, our goal, but it looks to be about $1000 more to get all this done at the Oregon Humane Society.

Swollen, infected paw

This poor guy tore his nail, and the wound is not healing. Juan (his owner) took him to the vet when it happened, and they remove the one torn nail. But since then the wound has reopened and is now looking infected, see below:

Juan heard about us through his case manager, he is living in transitional housing right now, getting out of homelessness. He has a job, but doesn’t get paid until November 7th. He kept Mac with him and got him registered as an ESA (Emotional Support Animal) so Mac could live with him in the transitional housing.

The wound is now leaking some puss, and Mac really needs to get to the doctor now, before something minor turns into something really bad. All donations are held by us, and paid only to the doctor’s office directly when Mac gets care. This handsome boy deserves a healthy paw, let’s help him!
