Little Puppy,

Broken Elbow!

Luna Bubbles, a tiny 4-month-old Pomeranian, has been part of Marcela’s family since she was just six weeks old. When her mother stopped feeding her, Marcela and her family stepped in, bottle-feeding her until she was strong enough to thrive. Since then, this little six-pound pup has been a beloved companion—especially for Marcela’s daughter, Madeline, who has a learning disability. Luna is more than just a pet; she is Madeline’s emotional support, bringing her comfort every day.

A few days ago, Luna went outside for a potty break. When Marcela’s husband turned around, she was just sitting there. But when he went to pick her up, she cried out in pain. At first, they thought she was just cold, but by morning, it was clear something was wrong. A visit to the vet led to a referral, then an X-ray at a low-cost clinic, and finally, a specialist confirmed the heartbreaking diagnosis—Luna has a lateral condylar fracture in her elbow. She needs surgery to repair it.

For Marcela, a mother of four, the cost of treatment is simply beyond what their savings can cover. She has applied for grants, but they haven’t been enough to bridge the gap. This injury was completely unexpected, and they are doing everything they can to get Luna the care she needs.

Luna has been a fighter since the start—surviving when she was too young to be weaned and growing into a happy, playful pup. With surgery, she has an excellent chance at a full recovery. But without it, her tiny leg may never heal properly.

Your donation will go directly toward Luna’s surgery and recovery. Any amount helps give her the chance to heal and continue being the loving support Madeline needs. Thank you for helping Luna get back on her paws, estimate below:
