About the Campaign
Crucial TPLO Surgery
Luna is a sweet female Pitbull mix who is now struggling with a painful knee injury that’s affecting her every day. What started as a limp around Thanksgiving has gotten worse, and she’s now barely using the leg at all.
After a veterinary exam, Luna was diagnosed with a knee injury that requires TPLO surgery, a procedure that stabilizes the joint and helps dogs return to comfortable, active lives. Without surgery, her pain and mobility are likely to keep deteriorating.
Maria has already done everything she can to get Luna help. She’s spent about $600 on exams and care so far and has been approved for $2,000 through CareCredit, but Luna’s surgery is estimated at around $6,000, which is more than Maria can cover on her own.
Maria took Luna in when she was just six months old after learning Luna had been mistreated and kept in a cage. It took time, patience, and a lot of love for Luna to feel safe. Over the years, she’s grown into a loyal companion who loves car rides, road trips, and running around at the park.
Right now, those simple joys are on hold because Luna is hurting. Maria’s partner recently lost a job after their business went bankrupt, and Maria works in an assisted living facility while also doing cakes, sweets, and small bake sales to help make ends meet. Every donation is only for Luna’s TPLO surgery and related veterinary care so she can heal, run again, and get back to the life she loves! Estimate is below, please click to enlarge:
