About the Campaign
Poor Lucy tore her ligament last week. This 5 year old, black lab mix, loves to play and has lots of energy. This is what most likely caused her tear. Her owner, Clark said he let her out to use the bathroom one minute and the next, she’s on her way back into the house limping and wailing.
Clark rushed her to the vet where she was given a cortisone shot and told she would be okay. The shot however, didn’t seem to help and Lucy only got worse. Clark went to get a second opinion at Vanderhoof Veterinary.
It was diagnosed that Lucy was in need of a cruciate repair surgery. The surgery date is scheduled next week, so we only have a little bit of time to help Lucy as much as we can.
Clark rescued Lucy back in 2014. During that time, he was searching for a companion and when he saw 9 month Lucy, it was love at first sight. They’ve been inseparable since!
Unfortunately, all the visits to the vet has run Clark haggard and dry. In addition to that, he’s on limited income and can’t afford to pay for her surgery. “I hope it can happen soon” Clark says “It kills me to see her in pain like that”.
