About the Campaign
Hole in her mouth,
from bad teeth.
Lola has an oronasal fistula, typically a tooth falls out and due to infection and gum decay the hole of the missing tooth goes all the way into the nose area.
Dental infection and bad teeth are painful enough, but an oronasal fistula can get dangerous quickly, leading to infection in the nose and even trouble breathing. So, Lola needs dental surgery and this hole fixed up right away.
Michaela got Lola from Much Love Rescue at an adoption event in Santa Monica years ago, and Lola had been her and her daughter’s dog ever since. Michaela does give her regular dental chews, but did not know that cleaning the teeth of a small dog was important. Last month, noticing some bad breath, she took Lola to Green Dog dental for a cleaning, and they came back with an estimate for dental for of about $6000!
Lola’s condition is serious, but it doen’t need to be anywhere near that expensive. We have found two other doctors for Lola that will fix her up for 1/2 this price. Right now Michaela is going through a divorce situation, and doesn’t have money for the procedure Lola needs. All donations are for Lola only and will be paid only to the vet. For reference, the Green Dog estimate is below (click to enlarge):

Hi Michaela ๐ Nothing could’ve made us happier! I believe Lola will feel much better. We had a fur-baby that went through something similar. She was a different dog after her dental surgery!
