About the Campaign

Two mammary tumors

Lily just went to the vet, and you can guess the diagnosis from the picture. She has mammary tumors that need to be removed.

Esther adopted Lily from her sister about a year ago. At that time Lily had recently had puppies, and Esther noticed some small growths on her belly. Lily went to the vet, but they said it was no big deal, just swelling from her having had the puppies. This was probably a misdiagnosis. Starting in December they suddenly grew a lot more, with the one now getting very large.

Lily went to a new vet at the end of January, and has her treatment plan, but Esther is short on money, working small gig jobs for Uber and Instacart, and cannot afford the full surgery, though she can contribute some.

All donations are for Lily to have surgery, and paid only to the veterinarian. And we will also get Lily spayed (which, yes, should have been done long ago, but that is not Lily’s fault!)

I love my chihuahua and would be devastating if this happened to her.

I know what it’s like to adopt a very sweet young animal and then find out there is a serious medical issue to be dealt with.

It all adds up! If just 1/2 of the people who read Lily’s story donated $3, $5 or $10 she would be fully funded in a flash! But most people don’t do what you did, so thank you πŸ™‚
