About the Campaign

Little guy has a birth defect.

Lil’ Man has a cleft palate, the top of his mouth is cleft (split open).

This can be correct with surgery, and it must be. The cleft gets clogged with food and the food rots, and can go into the nasal area. He often gets terrible sneezes as you can see in the video above. The can get out of control, to the point where he bangs his head on the floor!

He also has crowding in his mouth, basically too many teeth jamming together and not all coming in correctly, this can also be fixed when his cleft palate is repaired.

Samantha adopted Lil’ Man knowing he had a cleft palate. She has had cleft palate dogs before, and wanted to help him. In the photo below you can see how small he was next to a sibling, and this is because he was not able to nurse and then later eat well! Poor little guy!

Lil’ Man is the small one here:

The surgery is expensive, but Samantha had planned for that. She has over $4000 available, but was surprised to find out the cost of corrective surgery had gone up A LOT since the last time she had it done, now costing over $6000. She just does not have the difference. This fundraiser is to help Lil’ Man close the gap and get this life changing surgery that he needs! The estimate will be on the high-end, and you can see it below and click to enlarge:

I can only imagine 1 of my 5 Corgis having this problem! They all have liked to eat too much.
Prayers and quick healing for this little one!
