About the Campaign

Her tail is rotting, painful

Lady needs surgery to remove her tail, the wound on the end of it will not heal. Constant infection, and now dying tissue. It could develop into a serious issue, and is very difficult to deal with.

Lady is kind of a rescue, the girl friend of Alisha’s brother had Lady and could not keep her. To help out Alisha took Lady in, but didn’t know how anxious lady was and how bad her separation anxiety is. When Lady is alone she chews her tail, but also whips it around strongly, not only making the injury worse, but wiping blood all over the place!

Now poor Lady has to be caged often, especially when left at home, but this also just makes her anxiety and stress worse. It is a vicious circle, made urgent by the expanding tissue damage and necrosis in the tissue now.

With amputation Lady will be soooooo much better off! She won’t have to be caged, she won’t have the painful tail, and of course medically the threat of spreading infection and necrosis will be gone. All donations are just for her, and paid directly to the vet. Alisha just got a verbal estimate of about $1500, and has arranged a $300 grant from the Mosby Foundation.
