About the Campaign

Krissy needs urgent surgery!

This sweet kitty is the sole companion for an elderly woman, Carolyn. She has had Krissy since she was a kitten, for many years now, but cannot afford the treatment her kitty now needs.

In August Krissy was diagnosed with diabetes. At that time the doctor also noticed a small tumor on her belly. It was not even visible at the time, but he could feel it. Carolyn had enough money to treat the diabetes because she had received the one time COVID payment of $1200.00, but she did not have the money for the tumor removal, so they decided to watch it and see if it became a problem.

Unfortunately, in October the tumor suddenly grew very quickly. Carolyn only is able to work part-time as a clerk, and is on SSDI. She was able to save a little money, but not much, and this sudden growth did not leave her with hardly any money for the surgery.

Then the tumor ruptured!

The vet clinic reached out to us, asking if we could please do a fundraiser for Krissy. It is urgent, but everyone wants to get this sweet kitty help. The surgery is delicate, as Krissy is older, and Westside Pet Clinic, is doing their best to keep the price low.

Krissy is getting medications and has a wrap:

Krissy’s owner, Carolyn, does not have the best phone for taking photos, and some are not that clear. We wanted to send a volunteer to take photos, but Carolyn is not healthy, and is very very worried about getting COVID… so she is scared to have visitors. We have confirmed the case with the doctor directly, and all donations will be paid only to the vet, for the surgery. Let’s help this poor kitty get healthy again, and get this nasty tumor gone!!! Thank mew!
