About the Campaign

Blocked up bladder relief!

In danger from a painful and potentially deadly urinary blockage. Kitty, a 5-year-old domestic shorthair, had his mom Tiffani rush him to the emergency hospital in July after she noticed he was straining in the litter box and blood was appearing in his urine. The vets confirmed he was blocked and urine was backing up toward his kidneys.

They explained how serious this was, but Tiffani couldn’t afford the $3000 they required for hospitalization. All she could manage was $930 to have Kitty’s bladder drained and some antibiotics given.

Kitty is peeing for now, but he isn’t out of danger. He still urgently needs further veterinary care with Dr. Thomas at San Joaquin Veterinary Hospital to make sure the blockage doesn’t return and threaten his life again.

Tiffani found Kitty as a tiny kitten left on her porch in the rain five years ago. She heard him crying outside her window, brought him in, and has loved and cared for him ever since. Kitty has been her loyal companion through hard times, and today he’s part of a family that includes Tiffani, her teenage son Isiah, and their other cats.

But Tiffani simply cannot afford the cost of saving him. She’s a single mom, currently out of work, living with her son on Section 8 housing and government assistance. She recently had to take on the care of her mother, who suffered a stroke after years of unstable housing. With everything on her plate, she has no way to cover this unexpected veterinary emergency.

Kitty’s condition is treatable, and with proper care he can go back to his happy, comfortable self. Every donation will go directly to his veterinarian to ensure he gets the treatment he urgently needs. The doctor gave a rough estimate (verbal) of about $2000.
