Khalessi breaks her leg

Khalessi and her sister dog, Peggy, were out on a walk. While Peggy stopped for a potty break, Khalessi pulled away and got loose. Khalessi ran to a construction site and while running over rocks her leg got stuck, Khalessi fell to the ground and started crying.

The family immediately took her to the vet where they x-rayed the leg. The leg was broke! For two months the leg was bandaged with a splint on the break. In September when Khalessi went back to the vet the vet said the break didn’t heal properly and its now time to look into surgery to fix this break.

Khalessi’s mom, Blanca, said it was the worst day ever when she got the call that her baby was hurt.

The letter from Blanca:

“Unfortunately, on July 16 of 2019, Khaleesi had an accident and her front right leg suffered a complete fracture. I immediately took her to the  vet and with struggle paid for everything she needed per the doctor’s recommendations. I continued this for every week for over 2 months. Then, approximately during the last week of September, the vet delivered some bad news and said that her leg did not fully heal with the splint and wrap, and that surgery was the only option left for her to be able to use her leg again.

 

Sadly, the surgery is very costly for my family and myself. My husband, like myself, works in agriculture and doesn’t make enough money to fund an operation of this magnitude. Since the beginning of October, I have been searching for an organization that could somehow help someone in our situation. There has been little luck, until one day I found your page and thought it would be a good idea to ask and fill out an application online.

 

My hope is that, with your financial assistance, Khaleesi will one day be able to walk and run again with all four legs, and be happy. Thank you and God Bless.”
