About the Campaign

Playing around

Last week KC was at the dog park playing around. Not at any point did his mother, Jane, see him fall, jump or do anything to explain how he got his tear. But as they were leaving the park another park goer mentioned to Jane that KC was limping.

Jane was going to let the leg rest for the new few days to see if it would heal on its own. After continual limping KC went to the vet. X-rays show that he had a tear in his CCL in humans known as ACL tear. CCL tears are the most commonly seen in orthopedic problems. Good news- KC is a good candidate for the surgery and should have a good success. The vet explained that the most important part will be the healing process. KC will be on crate rest for 6-8 weeks after surgery to heal.

KC isn’t walking on his leg. He isn’t showing signs of too much discomfort. He did get a shot for the pain that will last for another week. His surgery is scheduled for January 16th. The vet said the sooner the surgery the better chances of full recovery.
