Little Junior has a Big Tumor
Recently it has gotten much larger.
Back in 2014, Larry saw this little guy posted on Craigslist for rehoming, Junior’s family couldn’t keep him. Something about Junior’s picture grabbed Larry’s attention, and he called. Turned out Junior’s family was trying to give him away for over a month, and not getting any offers, so Larry drove all the way over to Oxnard, California to get him!
When they brought Junior out Larry laughed, this was one goofy dog! Every body part was like it was from a different dog! But Larry loved it, snapping this picture that day of him and Junior in the car on the drive home:
Now just before the whole COVID think kicked off, Junior developed this small tumor. He went to the vet, a low cost one in Simi Valley. The vet didn’t think it was a big deal, but they did not have an ultrasound machine, but they were planning on getting one and told Larry and Junior to come back in about six months. Then COVID happened. But Junior did go back, but also the vet office had not gotten the ultrasound machine as planned. Now it was hard to get an appointment anywhere, and Junior ended up waiting.
But recently the tumor has gotten bigger, and now is pushing against Junior’s leg in such a way that it is hard for him to even walk. He went to the vet again, but they said they could not do the surgery, so Larry got him to Topanga Veterinary Clinic on a recommendation, and the doctor wants to do surgery soon. Our analysis of the estimate is that the price is below the average cost of this procedure in the area, and the doctor is doing what he can to keep the cost as low as possible. All donations are only paid to the vet, when the procedure is completed, never to the owner. So, if you would like to help Junior get this tumor removed, please consider a donation right now! Thank you, and big WOOOOOFS!
