June

About the Campaign

Rescued by love

June was adopted by her current parent, Crystal, now three years ago. June was rescued from a horrible life of abuse. But now June is showered with love from her six human brothers and sisters and mom.

A few weeks ago June tore both of her ligaments in her back legs (ACL tear in humans). Resulting in June needing a double TPLO surgery. “TPLO, or tibial-plateau-leveling osteotomy, is a surgery performed on dogs to stabilize the stifle joint after ruptures of the cranial cruciate ligament. In the vast majority of dogs, the cranial cruciate ligament ruptures as a result of long-term degeneration, whereby the fibres within the ligament weaken over time”.

This surgery typically costs about $2,500 per leg. Amazing Small Animal Practice is doing the surgery at a huge discount of $1,000 off. Amazing Small Animal Practice did her first leg and it is healing beautifully.

Crystal is a single mom of six and only works part time. She was able to raise $519.50 for June’s first campaign:  https://freeanimaldoctor.org/campaigns/june-the-love-bug/

Any more donations for June’s second surgery would be great appreciated.
