Help save Jinx’s life!
This little kitty is the victim of a botched spay surgery, and she needs a corrective procedure soon. A hormone imbalance along with pain is causing her behavior to go from sweet and affectionate, to almost feral like. Her owner has a small child, and Jinx is not safe to be around at the moment. Unfortunately, if this cannot be fixed, she will have to put Jinx to sleep.
Kayla got Jinx in 2021 from a neighbor whose cat had kittens. And in October of 2021 she had Jinx spayed. That is when things started to go wrong. First Jinx developed a big lump on the incision site. The doctor said this was nothing to worry about. But it didn’t go away so Kayla took Jinx to a different vet. That vet diagnosed it as an infection, and gave Jinx medications. However, the swollen area burst during this time!
That sent Jinx to the emergency vet, where Kayla spent well over $1000, but Jinx came out of there healed up and things looked good!
They were not good though. A few months later Jinx went into heat. So at yet another vet it was determined that the original spay and not been done properly, and part of Jinx’s reproductive system was still there. The vet recommended surgery to correct this but it was expensive, and Kayla didn’t have the money.
Things were ok though, for a while. But this year Jinx started going in and out of heat more rapidly than normal. And then last week Jinx tried to attack Kayla, something she has never done. Finally Kayla is at a very reputable vet, and they recognize the problem clearly. Surgery should fix everything, and return Jinx to the lovable kitty she was… but it is pricey and Kayla does not have the money available.
All donations here are only for Jinx and are only paid directly to the veterinarian. We know this vet personally, and have sent many people to them, so we are sure Jinx will get the correct and quality care this time. Kayla very much wants to keep Jinx, but is simply tapped out of funds and has no available credit, so let’s donate to Jinx and get her the care she urgently needs.
