About the Campaign

Jeffrey had a broken jaw!

It got fixed, he got adopted!

Then the plate in his jaw came loose!

Jeffrey is a sweet, fun guy, one of the best dogs out there (and aren’t they all just about the best?). He was adopted a year and a half ago by Kemah in Texas after being found here in Los Angeles, skinny as a rail with a broken jaw.

Due to the nature of the break, the vet who did the surgery to repair his jaw used a plate. We now think that this surgery may not have been done as well as it could have been. But we cannot be sure. Here is an image from that first time:

At the beginning of July Jeffrey had his teeth cleaned. At that time part of the plate was seen. Upon further examination the plate was determined to be growing into his throat and had to be removed. His jaw seems fine, but the vet has recommended that a specialist examine Jeffrey and determine what needs to be done, if anything.

Kemah has already spent a lot of money on his previous procedure, and she and Jeffery could really use help paying for the visit to the specialist. The initial cost is expected to be right at $500 with x-rays and other tests.

Donations are for Jeffrey to see the specialist and have a thorough exam and consult about his jaw. We at Free Animal Doctor will be matching every donation, so if you donate $5.00, we will add $5.00!! Donate $25.00 and we will make it $50.00 SO DOUBLE UP YOUR DONATION RIGHT NOW!
