About the Campaign

Help him get his teeth fixed

and to find a good home!

“Hot Toddy”, Todd for short, is a very sweet and way too cute little Pomeranian man who finally deserves a good home.

He was surrendered to Soul 2 Soul Animal Rescue in Oregon in fairly bad condition. His behavior is good, he was probably not abused, but he was clearly very neglected. The owner of Soul 2 Soul, Donna, had a stop on all new intakes to the rescue, because they are full. But when she saw his pictures where the owners were looking to get rid of him, she melted and had to take him in.

Todd had lots of hair loss, all over the middle of his body, and then big matts of fur on his rear. The first photo below is the day he came into the rescue, and you can see below it another and this is why his has his sweater now!

The good news is that his blood tests came back great! Donna was sure he had some condition, perhaps Cushings Disease or something else, but no! Hot Toddy is perfectly healthy, except for his teeth. In fact his owners said he was about 9 years-old, but the doctor says though he looks little older, he appears healthwise to be younger like 5 or 6 years.

Having been neglected, and probably fed low quality food, his teeth are bad. Very bad. He is a sweet dog (see that video above with his foster mom), but he will not let anyone touch his mouth. You get close to his mouth and he gets mad. Clearly his mouth hurts, and has probably hurt for a long time. This is also why estimate is in a wide range, because the doctor will not know how many teeth he needs to remove until Todd is under anesthesia.

Your donation is for Todd, paid right to his vet and it helps two ways! It gets him out of pain and healed up with a healthy mouth, and it also is needed before he can be adopted. Donna reports she has a number of interested, very good homes, so as soon as Todd is healed up and cleared by the doctor, he can get adopted!
