About the Campaign

Honey is in pain, 

pawing at her mouth and whining.

It is her teeth. Honey has bad ones, and some of her gums are really red and swollen. She is a rescue, Candy adopted her out of the Carson, California animal shelter 7 years ago when she was set to be put to sleep.

Candy is a long time foster for multiple rescue groups, and does a lot of good work for the dog rescue community. All her dogs, like Ernie in this photo below are rescues:

And Joey here with Candy’s daughter, also a rescue which Candy picked up off the street:

Now Candy needs everyone to help Honey. She’s been trying to save up for Honey’s surgery, but has been struggling financially post-COVID, after her work got shut down. Now it is getting urgent as Honey is clearly in pain, even eating less now, so surgery has to happen soon.

Honey doesn’t feel well:

Honey will go to Westside Pet Clinic, which offers a good rate for dental surgery and does a very good job especially with the gums. All donations are held by Free Animal Doctor and paid only to the veterinarian when the procedure is done, no money goes to the owner.

Honey needs her teeth fixed soon, let’s show our support for fosters and rescuers, and also help Honey feel so much better!
