Injured Eye, 

Shelter Rescue

Honey has an injured eye that needs to be removed. In early December Marta rescued her from the Riverside County animal shelter. The shelter information was just that she was found stray, already with the injured eye.

Although Honey is a cute, and very young (about 8-10 weeks?) puppy there was no adoption interest because of her injury. The eye is completely damaged, and has to be removed. The shelter will not do this surgery, so anyone adopting her would have to get it done.

Marta took her to the vet, got Honey medications so the eye will not get infected and got her some pain medications. The vet (you can see the estimate below) also gave her a discount on the eye removal surgery since Honey is a rescue dog.

Marta fosters dogs for rescues often, and spends her own money of them and helping rescues. Money is tight, and she cannot afford the surgery. All donations here are only for Honey, paid only to the vet for her eye surgery. Here is a copy of the estimate, click to enlarge:
