About the Campaign
Pulmonic Stenosis
Henry has a bad heart valve, it’s a birth defect
Rescued from the shelter, Henry had mange, parasites and Giardia. He was malnourished and the poor guy had an eye infection. The rescue Much Love got all of that treated!
While at the vet, the doctor noticed a weird noise in the heart. Turns out, Henry has thickened heart valve which is restricting blood flow to his lungs. Untreated this will lead to heart failure, but there is a procedure, balloon valvuloplasty, that can help him live a normal life! (Read about this condition HERE)
Much Love Animal Rescue took Henry from the animal shelter because he was not getting adopted due to his mange and eye infection, the shelter asked them for help. At that time no one knew he had a heart condition. The rescue spent a lot getting him healthy, his mange is now gone and his eye is ok too! Oh, and he has a full belly!
Henry at his foster home:
The rescue has gotten a $2000 grant to help, and the vet is offering a 20% rescue discount off the procedure, but balloon valvuloplasty is not cheap! The surgery can easily get close to $10,000 but with the grant and help from the vet, Henry only needs about $3000 more to get his procedure!
This little guy just got sprung from the shelter, and is doing so well in his foster home… He deserves a full, happy life and now Henry needs everyone to come together to get his heart fixed!
