About the Campaign
This is Hazel
Hazel is a 10 year-old Bulldog-Boxer mix that has a cyst by her left eye that’s getting larger and larger each passing day. She recently developed another on her right eye as well. We all know that as dogs get older these things happen, but this situation is causing Hazel much discomfort.
Ana, Hazel’s owner, rescued her from a high kill shelter when Hazel was just 3 years-old. Hazel’s almost 10 now, and the past 7 years couldn’t have been better for her! Ana made sure that Hazel’s was up to date on all her general care but unfortunately Ana is unable to come out of pocket for this procedure.
Ana has 3 dogs that she loves and cares for. When medical emergencies arise she does as much as she can in finding resources that will be able to help. I met with Hazel and Ana this week for a small photo session. As you can see, Hazel is so sweet and gentle. She loves to play, run around, but she loves her fair share of relaxation.
The main concern is that the the growth on Hazel’s eye continues to grow. As time goes by it gets bigger and bigger and if not removed sooner than later, it can cause Hazel to go blind.
Ana recently lost her husband and is now a single mother taking care of her 4 animals and her children. Between tuition and living expenses she simply does not have the money available. But the great news is a that a little help from you can go a long way for Hazel!!
Ana loves Hazel dearly, she was her first rescue. Ana now depends on Hazel for comfort and motivation just as Hazel depends on her. As time goes on Hazel’s eyes worsen and Ana’s worry grows. Hazel will be treated at Katella Animal Clinic.
