About the Campaign

Senior, stray,

this little dog has had a hard life.

Harvey was roaming the streets of Fresno, CA, and ended up with a local cat rescuer who didn’t have the means, or knowledge to care for him. Through a chain of connections on social media he came to the attention of Donna Clark at Soul 2 Soul Rescue in Oregon.

Donna saw Harvey’s condition, and drove to Fresno to get him. It was pretty bad. He hardly moved around, mostly just lying in a corner. He was covered in fleas and ticks. Below are some “Before” photos:

Donna got Harvey back to Oregon, and all cleaned up. He’s in a good foster home now, and doing much better. But this little old man does have some problems. His eyes are not producing tears, which led to them crusting up, and getting infected. That’s cleaned up now, and medications can help with the tears. His teeth are very bad, of course…. and he walks better, but still very stiffly, and seems painful. He needs full-body x-rays. Oh, and he has a bit of a heart murmur too. All in all? This guy needs some care and tests!

Harvey sleeping, safe now:

Harvey was not an expected rescue. He came in as an emergency when Donna saw his condition. Donations are needed help pay for his vet care, and all donations are for him, paid 100% to the rescue, no fees taken out. If you would like to help Harvey get all fixed up and check out, he would certainly appreciate it, as would Donna! Thank you.

The pandemic was BRUTAL on rescues in so many ways. I can’t foster, but I can donate!
