About the Campaign
Dangerous Tumor
Greyson, a 5-year-old Pitbull mix, has a mast cell tumor on his ear that needs to be surgically removed and tested for cancer. This isn’t his first—he’s already had three other tumors removed—but this one may have been missed during the last surgery or developed soon after. Either way, it’s growing and must come out.
Maya, Greyson’s devoted owner, noticed the lump while rubbing his ear during recovery from his last operation. At first, she thought it might just be irritation from the cone. But it wasn’t. The vet confirmed it’s another mast cell tumor, and it needs to be taken seriously.
Maya adopted Greyson nearly five years ago from a local shelter. He was a goofy little pup—grey-coated, bright-eyed, and full of love. Maya had never had a dog before, but she knew right away he was the one. She wanted an emotional support animal and has leaned on Greyson through years of struggling with anxiety and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. He’s become a daily source of stability and peace in her life.
She works full-time as a behavioral technician for kids with autism—rewarding work, but not highly paid. Just a few months ago, she spent over $6,000 trying to save her beloved cat Leland from lymphoma. That heartbreak drained her savings, and she cannot get Care Credit. She lives alone and rents, and the cost of another surgery and pathology testing for Greyson is simply more than she can manage.
Your donation will go directly toward Greyson’s surgery, recovery, and testing to ensure he gets the care he needs—and the second chance he deserves. All donations are paid directly and only to the vet, estimate below (click to enlarge… also see a longer estimate HERE):
