About the Campaign

Little Gracie is just over 6 pounds, and has reoccurring dental problems, perhaps in part due to her small size.

She was rescued out of the animal shelter by Jackie many years ago, she had been hit by a car, and injured, then taken to shelter. Jackie found out about it, and followed her situation at the shelter, adopting her as soon as the shelter allowed.

Since then she has been a great addition to the family, and Jackie rescues and fosters many dogs, with Gracie getting along just fine with everyone. Just about 2 years ago she had dental work done, and which looked good at the time, but unfortunately Gracie has recently developed problems again.

She will paw at her mouth, and sometimes won’t eat, even soft food. Clearly her mouth hurts. The doctor examined her, and there are multiple teeth that need extraction. Furthermore, she is now 12 years old. The doc did blood-tests, and she is healthy for the surgery, but the doctor stressed that it needs to be done now. The older Gracie gets, the more dangerous any surgery will be.

Jackie recently had a dog with serious heart issues that was very expensive to treat, and the money for Gracie is just not there right now. All donations here are only for Gracie, and only paid to the veterinarian when the surgery is done!
