About the Campaign

She cannot stand up for long,

and if not treated her other knee will tear also.

Grace is a sweet, and young, Cane Corso. In fact she is just over a year-old. Unfortunately, she torn her CCL, the ligament in the knee. You can read about this condition here.

About two months ago Grace came into the house limping. At first it didn’t seem to be a big deal, but when it did not get better her owner, Melinda took Grace to the vet. Melinda spent about $1000 at two vets, getting a second opinion, and it was confirmed that Grace had a torn CCL, and needed surgery fairly soon. This condition in a large dog means that the dog will put much more weight on the non-injured leg, eventually tearing the CCL in the other knee as well.

How Melinda met Gracie

A friend of Melinda rescues dogs, and rescued a female Cane Corso, not knowing she was pregnant. Well, she was, and she had a litter of 15 puppies!! Melinda helped get them all spayed and neutered, and adopted….. but she fell in love with one of them, Grace, and kept her!

Financial situation

Melinda works in the office of a car dealership, but her hours have been cut for a while now, and she is only part-time. She also got behind on some bills, and her credit is not good, and she could not get Care Credit. As mentioned, she spent about $1000 getting Grace diagnosed, and just does not have the money to pay for the surgery. She may be able to contribute some, but for the most part she and Grace need our help to get the surgery!

All donations here are only paid to the vet, and only for Gracie. Donate in confidence today: you are helping Gracie walk again and save her other knee!!! Thank you, WOOOOOF!
