About the Campaign
Look at the tumor on
this little guy’s eye:
Gizmo is loved by his family, and when he got a tumor on his eye earlier this year, they got him the care and surgery he needed, even though they could not really afford it. His owner Carmen spent almost $4000 on the treatment, borrowing most of the money.
Gizmo was originally a gift for Carmen’s father. He had been in a car accident, and was disabled, living alone, so the family got him Gizmo and they became inseparable. About 4 years later, Carmen’s father became quite ill, and he ended up passing away in his sleep. When the family went to the house they found him, with Gizmo laying on him in the bed.
With his original owner, Carmen’s father:
Carmen then adopted Gizmo, and took him to live with her in 2018, and Gizmo has been an amazing family dog, the grandkids love him, neighbors, friends, everyone!
The grandkids love Gizmo!
So this summer when a weird tumor developed on his eye, Carmen was able to borrow money from people to get him the surgery he needed. It was a lot of money, and just could not afford it herself.
The first surgery:
Unfortunately the tumor has grown back. Carmen has gotten Gizmo to the eye doctor again and to an oncologist (cancer specialist), and they have a full plan for him, but it is extensive and expensive. Gizmo needs to first be treated by the oncologist to reduce the size of the tumors and get it under control, then he can have surgery.
This little guy is just eight years old, and has a long life in front of him. Carmen loves him, and he is a link to her father, and well, this good boy just deserves a good chance! All donations are only for Gizmo, and will only be paid to his doctors for his treatments, no donations are ever paid to the owners. Carmen will contribute what she can this time, but she still owes almost all of what she borrowed for his first procedure.
If you want to help this sweet family dog get the surgery he needs to get this painful tumor gone, and finally be free of cancer, please make a donation to him today.

I am so sorry this is happening. I am gladthere is fundraising available. This sort of thing wasn’t available in the past when my dog needed a $7,000 surgery. Fortunately we were able to get a loan. It took 7 years to pay it back. Worth every penny. My dog Scooter was almost 5 when surgery on his spine was needed. He lived to be 19! Prayers that your little Gizmo gets better. I know he means a lot yo you. I know someone who just started working at in organization called FACE they help people with medical expenses for their pets when they can’t afford it. Maybe check that out as well. I am praying it all works out.
