George the beautiful cat
George gets rescued
David found George, the cat, in the bottom of a shopping cart, wrapped up and homeless. David felt connected with this little dude so he took him home. Once David got home he gave George multiple flea baths and a good shave. After a good cleaning George was at home with his new family.
A few months ago…
George was getting his yearly shave when David noticed a small knick in his left back leg. When he noticed it was the size of a dime. David thought maybe it was a bite mark so took care of it like a bite. Soon David noticed the mark wasn’t getting better so we took George to the doctor. The vet didn’t know if it was a bite or an infection so the vet tried to get the wound better with an ointment.
Where we are at now
The wound is still there and getting worse. This week David took George to the vet for blood work and X-rays. Apparently, George has some cancer in his lend leg. The vet believes the cancer is from injections of vaccines.
Good news… the bloodwork and X-rays were in good limits and didn’t show cancer spreading! The vet said the hind leg needs to be amputated as soon as possible.
David has paid for the X-rays and blood work on his own and needs help paying for the remaining of the surgery. Please help this beautiful cat live cancer free!
Surgery is scheduled for December 11th.
