About the Campaign
Gabriel was rescued as a two month old kitten, he was only a single pound in weight! His mother was an outdoor cat, and seemed to reject him. So, Claudia who rescues cats and protects an outdoor colony as well, took him in.
Gabriel as a skinny kitten:
He has been a healthy and happy kitty until late this summer when he was diagnosed with bad gum disease. Gabriel required a dental specialist, who determined he would need two surgeries.
Gabriel had his first procedure on November 15th, and it went well and he has recovered well. He now needs his second and final procedure. All of his teeth need to be removed, but that is ok, he is well taken care of, and will be perfectly fine and healthy with no teeth.
His owner is in her sixties, and works as a clerk part time at a golf course. She does not have that much money, and also spends a lot on her rescue cats, some of which are elderly and have regular vet bills to pay.
In total Gabriel’s bill is $2400.00. Claudia paid for his $400 consultation and diagnosis, and then paid for the first procedure using Care Credit. She has a GoFundMe to recover that $1200.00, because she cannot afford that debt. This fundraiser is specifically to pay for the SECOND procedure only. You donation will only be paid directly to the vet to get Gabriel his final procedure so he can live his senior days healthy and happy! Thank mew!
