About the Campaign
Foxy Chihuahua! (Insert Jimi Hendrix guitar here)
This little sweetie has a tumor on her anus. It is getting worse (bigger) and could develop into a real problem, even cancer. So, it needs to be removed.
Foxy’s owner, Melissa, is disabled and needs help paying for this surgery. She rescued Foxy when Foxy was just about a year old, the poor dog was running stray in the rain, and Melissa let her in her apartment. No owner ever showed up for Foxy, but Foxy fit right in at Melissa’s! She became best friends with Melissa’s other dog and was a happy addition to the home.
About a year ago Melissa noticed a bump on Foxy’s butt. She took her to the vet, and there were some other minor issues, but at the time they didn’t think it was anything serious. But recently it has started to grow and is getting much bigger. Now the doctor says the tumor must be removed.
Melissa is on disability, with serious physical issues. And she also has to take care of her father who has dementia. At this time she just has no income, relying on disability support and food stamps. Paying $2000 for a surgery is just something inconceivable when you only have maybe ten dollars to your name!
Is Foxy happy about this dress-up? 😀
As always, all money raised for Foxy in this campaign is ONLY for Foxy and only paid to the veterinarian when the surgery is performed. If Foxy does not get the procedure, all donations will be refunded. If you want to help Foxy, this is how you can donate directly to her, knowing your donation is used exactly as you intend!
This one is better!
