About the Campaign
Fluffy needs everyone’s help so he can get this nasty tumor removed. The doctor is pretty sure it is a mast-cell tumor, meaning cancerous, so it needs to go away soon!
Fluffy’s owner is Karina, a single mom of a 2 year-old boy. Karina rescued Fluffy’s mom from a homeless lady in Barstow years ago, and though mom is now spayed, she did have one set of puppies. For some reason mom rejected Fluffy, or he just wouldn’t nurse, so Karina bottle fed him. She adopted out the other puppies, but kept Fluffy.
Fluffy is now 4 years old, but even from about 1 year of age there was bump on the top of his head. It seem like nothing important, and was forgotten about. Then, just about a week ago, Fluffy was really rubbing and scratching at the top of his head. He is pretty fury and his fur is thick, so Karina had to really pull it back to see: Fluffy’s bump was now an ugly tumor and even seemed to be bleeding a little.
She took him to the doctor right away, and the doctor believes it is probably a mast-cell tumor, and it needs to be removed. Ark Animal Hospital is a great vet, and the price is very good.
Fluffy and Karina’s son are very attached:
Karina works in Barstow and a large truck-stop. She was working in the dinner, which is now closed due to COVID. She has picked up hours at the Subway sandwich shop at the truck-stop, but it is less hours and less take home-pay. She has paid for the initial vet visit, but simply does not have the money for the surgery! As always, all donations are only paid to the vet office when the surgery is done! Can you help Fluffy get this urgent surgery today?
Fluffy’s estimate from Ark Animal Hospital (click to enlarge), notice the vet has hand written $735 to include medications:
