About the Campaign

Evie has trouble breathing

Evie and her brother Stevie were found stray, together, in Riverside, California in January. The finder kept them for a while, looking to see if an owner could be found, but the pair are under a year-old and not trained at all! They are an energetic pair, and not house trained (or leash trained, or ANY trained!) and the finder could not keep them.

She asked for help on Facebook, but not finding anyone to help take them, she said there was no choice, they would have to go to the animal shelter. Fortunately Donna from Soul2Soul Animal Rescue in Oregon found out about Evie and Stevie and arranged for the pair to be brought to the rescue in Oregon.

On arrival it was clear that Evie was having trouble breathing. It is a little hard to hear in the video above, but even when resting you can hear the trouble air has going in and out of her nose, and if she gets excited it is even worse. They took her to the vet right away to have that looked at and the doctor recommends Nares surgery right away. This is a procedure to open up the smushed airways of this breed for easier breathing.

All donations are paid to the vet when Evie gets her surgery, and this will set her up for adoption! The doctor is doing the procedure at a great price, and she will also be spayed, so Evie will be ready for a new home and a new life!
