About the Campaign
Elvis can barely walk,
broken leg in 2 places!
Owner Bo got Elvis as a puppy from her brother-in-law, who has since passed away. Elvis has been by Bo’s side through thick and thin, providing a loyal companion as she navigated loss and hardship. Recently, however, an unexpected accident changed everything. While playing behind the house in the woods, Bo’s nephew accidentally ran over Elvis with a pickup truck, breaking his back left leg in two places.
Immediately, Elvis’s leg started to swell, and Bo rushed him to the vet the very next day. There, she learned he needed specialized orthopedic surgery to place a pin or plate in his leg to set the fractures and give him a chance at a full recovery. But the timing couldn’t be worse for Bo, who recently lost her husband, lost her home, and has been staying with her mom back in Texas while raising her young daughter.
Bo is doing everything she can to get Elvis the help he needs. She has used her savings, and even pawned her jewelry, scraping together the $275 she’s already spent on his care. Still, the cost of surgery is far more than she can cover alone.
Thankfully, Elvis’s prognosis is bright with surgery, and he’ll be able to live comfortably and get back to his joyful self. All donations will go directly to Elvis’s veterinary care, helping to mend his leg and lift Bo’s spirits. Estimate is below, click to enlarge:
