Urgent! Pyometra.

Duchess is a two year old Husky diagnosed with an infection of her uterus called Pyometra. The danger is the the internal infection will burst, and this shock will kill the dog. It is similar to Appendicitis in people.

In the video above you can see Duchess panting, even though the room is cool. Her temperature is elevated due to the internal infection. 

Duchess and her mom, sister and brother were rescued by Jocelyn almost two years ago. Jocelyn kept Duchess and her sister (Honey) and got mom and the brother adopted. Jocelyn is a single mother of three, and had both dogs scheduled for spay surgery at a free clinic, but before that came up Duchess got this infection.

Duchess and Honey:

Loma Linda Animal Hospital in San Bernardino, CA saw Duchess May 18th, got her on antibiotics to slow the infection and recommends surgery ASAP. They verbally gave an estimate of $600-800.

Jocelyn had to use her car title to get a loan for the the visit, $300, and has no money or credit available. All donations here are held by Free Animal Doctor and paid ONLY to the veterinarian for Duchess’s care. No money is paid to the owner or other individual.
