About the Campaign
Drama is a spunky shih tzu that’s suffering from a swollen eye!
Drama was adopted by Andrew and his family in Novemeber of 2017. They saw him and thought the chances of a one-eyed dog getting adopted were slim and decided to give him a home. Drama was having loads of fun in his new happy environment when sometime in January his eye started swelling.
The swelling would go up and down and Andrew was told not to worry. When February came around, Drama’s eye began to produce discharge and this was worrisome. After the antibiotics didn’t stick and Drama’s swelling grew worse, Andrew quickly to Drama to Pets R Us where he was treated and diagnosed.
The Doctor suspects that during Drama’s initial eye surgery a tear duct, eye lid, or cornea was left behind (not removing the entire eye) and that could be what’s causing the infection. Drama will need another surgery to clear any remaining tissue and administer new antibiotics.
Andrew and his family love their new dog and couldn’t foresee this problem. He has a low-income family and can afford Drama’s general care but at this time cannot afford is surgery.
“We appreicate all the help we can get, the only reason I’m asking for donations is because we’re going through very tough situations right now and don’t have this money at the moment.
He loves his name! He’s also a very, very happy dog! He enjoys going with us on car rides everywhere! If we start singing he sings back to us by howling! So Cute! We can’t imagine living without him. Thank you”
