About the Campaign

Out of the Palmdale, CA animal shelter!

Doodle’s freedom video, arriving at our location:

Our good friend Julie had been watching Doodle since April when he was brought in to the shelter. A very sweet and friendly little guy (just 8 pounds), he is a senior at 10 years of age, and his teeth have clearly been neglected for a long time.

Though Doodle was well liked at the shelter, we had no adoption interest, what with clearly needing dental surgery and with his age, poor little guy! So Julie put in a special request for us to take him in, even though we are at capacity at the moment. Fortunately we found a way to smush him in!

Doodle will be going to a dental specialist Tuesday, May 22nd, and we will post updates on what exactly he needs, and updating the cost. If you pledged to Doodle when he was in the shelter, or would otherwise like to donate, he could really really use it!! All donations are only for Doodle! WoooooooF!

UPDATE, Doodle’s exam

Below are pictures of poor little Doodle’s teeth, they are really really bad. He has infected gums, rotted teeth, and tarter beyond what we usually see, even in bad cases.

His first step is 10 days of antibiotics with a daily anti-septic mouthwash. He also has had a blood test. Hopefully the antibiotics get the infection under control, and the blood-test comes back good. In that case he will then have dental surgery. The dentist wants to get the infection controlled first.
